It can be difficult, especially when starting out, to keep the momentum going. When you’re starting out, it may not look like you’re making any progress at all, and that can be a bit discouraging. Trust me, I know!
When I first decided to dig myself out of my mess and get organized, I felt like I was working all day long and not getting anywhere. I was disorganized and really feeling like it was useless.
It really started to get me down. Until I started making lists and crossing out what I had already done.
What a great feeling! To look at a list that in the morning seemed so long and unattainable, and at the end of the day see that everything on the list has been crossed off and completed!
I like to keep my lists right out where I can see them. They are kept in a zippered binder, so they’re not added clutter, but they work as an incentive to me to keep working away. I love seeing those blue highlighter lines through every single item on my To Do list.
It’s a great way to keep myself motivated.
And of course, once I’m done, I’m able to look around my sparkling clean, wonderfully organized home and breathe a sigh of complete satisfaction.
Try it! Make yourself a list, along with your daily routines. Start crossing things off as you do them. It’s a great sense of freedom and accomplishment!
